The Astra SPX

The Gulfstream Astra SPX is a high performance business jet known for it’s impressive speed, long range capability, and operational efficiency. It' offers a mix of comfort and performance to deliver flexibility, reliability, and cost effective operation to it’s owners and passengers. With the ability to cruise at high altitudes, access smaller airports, and fly nearly 3,000 nautical miles, it remains a smart choice for business travelers.

The Astra SPX was manufactured by Israel Aircraft Industries until Gulfstream acquired the company in 2001 and rebranded the SPX as a G100, the first aircraft in the G100 series. The SPX’s first flight was in the 1990’s and remained in production until 2005 with a total fleet size of 77.

The Astra SPX is powered by two Honeywell turbofan engines that can reach up to 499kts and a range of 2,950nm. It’s built for non-stop operations across the United States, or from the Eastern United States to parts of Europe. The SPX cruises above most commercial traffic and weather systems, offering smoother, faster flights at their 45,000ft service ceiling.

Another benefit of the Astra SPX is it’s capability to land on shorter runways. It has a landing distance of 2,500ft and a takeoff distance of 5,250ft, meaning it can access smaller, regional airports closer to passenger’s destinations.

The Astra can carry up to seven passengers in a quiet cabin with an on-board lavatory. The seating arrangements are club-style, making it perfect for corporate travel.
